Re: Truck accelerates on it's own randomly

Glad to hear. Hope you bought two PMDs, that way you have a spare. You can reuse the resistor from your original PMD.

Re: Truck accelerates on it's own randomly

Kind of sounds like a PMD. Hopefully you have a spare. If not, you need one. Even if your problem isn't the PMD right now, it makes for easy trouble shooting. Also, a PMD failure is something that can leave you stranded.

I've been using the same DTech since May 2008.

Re: 2-Piece wheels/beadlocks/runflats

From what I know, the safety bead (the "lip") on the factory two piece wheels is much smaller than what the one piece wheels have. I'm sure the chances are small of losing your bead just doing street driving, but knowing my luck I'd hit a nasty pothole and lose the bead and cause some nasty damage. ...

Re: A/C after heater core change....

From the AM General Factory manual regarding the vacuum pump:

"Vacuum Pump Test
The pump can be checked with a standard vacuum gauge. Output
should be minimum of 20-21 inches vacuum."

Re: A/C after heater core change....

The vacuum pump should put out about 22" of pressure just as Chuck said. I would check the pressure of the pump directly now, so find the line that goes from the pump to the wastegate solenoid and use that line to read the pump directly. This will help you find out if its the pump or if there's perh...

You can browse all factory parts on his website, and it will have part numbers and year model compatibility. Or are you asking for a service manual?

Re: Ctis malfunction

if you think the valve is not sealing then, I would pull it off and clean it up (maybe some junk is preventing it from sealing?) or Buy a new one: http://www.hummerpartsguy.com/VALVE-PRESSURE-RELIEF-CTIS_p_5462.html let us know what works Yep, pretty easy to remove and clean up. http://www.flashoff...

Re: obdII scanner wont connect and abs codes

Check your fuse for the "DLC" which is the name for the OBDII connector (Data Link Connector). I'm not sure where that is on a 99. Your owner's manual should have a fuse diagram in it, so just look for the DLC fuse.

Re: Turbo?

Boost is not a factory option (unless you count via the PCM and displayed on a ScanGauge). You'll have to just follow the hose yourself and see.

Dexcool? No way. After a lot of playing around and research I came to the conclusion that the best antifreeze is regular standard antifreeze. Don't mess with the other stuff. What about the Fleet Charge or Rotella ELC coolant as in your article? (Pause to look up article...) Ah, I noticed you just u...

Yep, normal. Just as the vehicle is coming to a stop, slowly release some of the pressure you have on the brake pedal.
