Re: Signal cams & cruise Control

It looks like the turn signal switch is the same over many different years http://www.hummerpartsguy.com/SWITCH-TURN-SIGNAL_p_22272.html. However when I look at the turn signal lever itself it looks like the connections are different depending on the years. If you want an oem replacement their is th...

Re: 2-Piece wheels/beadlocks/runflats

Probably 5 years ago I had a customer in the Chicago area who needed new tires on their 2000 with 16.5 2 piece wheels. They found one of the old Hummer dealers and they wanted 250.00 labor per tire to do the work and they still needed to find decent tires which you can't in that size. They ended up...

Re: 2-Piece wheels/beadlocks/runflats

I got rid of my 2 piece wheels for that reason. I love the look, but if I ever needed them serviced it would be a headache. I have been told if you switch out runflats for beadlocks you can easily do the job yourself.

Re: LED headlights and marker lights.

You wont want the 24V for a civilian model. Get the 12V

Re: What's it worth

Yeah that sounds about right. For the most part I see most 99-01 trade for right around the same number. Seems to be a price bump for 2002+. Have you ever seen the paint on the truck? I had the metallic green on my truck before I did a color change and it didnt hold up at all.

Re: What's it worth

Those accessories are nice, however, most of the time they do not add to much value to the vehicle. I would say that buying a truck with the wheels upgraded to the 17' is the most desirable addition.

Re: What's it worth

Obviously its hard to say without more pictures and details (mileage, interior condition, TT4 working, engine upgraded or not).

With that being said, if the truck had less than 100K miles on it I would say 45-50K range.

Re: Toyo Open Country M/T 37X13.50R17

I painted those rims myself. They came out alright, my local powder coating shop was 3 weeks behind and I couldn't wait that long.

My truck is so happy to have the runflats gone! I can definitely tell the difference.

Re: Toyo Open Country M/T 37X13.50R17

I ended going to with the new TOYO Open Country R/T tires. Hadn't heard much about them, but I am really pleased. They are a nice blend between a A/T and M/T tire. Had no problem balancing them. I have had many of the factory rubber on my truck, Goodyear MT, GSA, and MTR and have not enjoyed the rid...

Re: Factory Rocker protection removal/hummerdan instal

Got it done last weekend. Luckily all my bolts came out with no problem. The only portion I needed assistance with was someone holding the front bolts to loosened them. I couldnt reach both ends myself. For installing the new ones I had a couple pallets in the side yard so I put those down and put t...

Factory Rocker protection removal/hummerdan instal

Hey group- I just got a set of hummerdans rock tubes and was wondering if anyone had any tricks for installing? I have to get the original set of guards off and looks like I will have to remove some trim in the rear of the truck to access the bolts? Interedted in any tips or tricks people might have...
