Re: Brakes

Sorry, I'm only changing the front the rotors have cracks already, I checked with Autozone I got them 11/13. I've only put 2500 miles on them, but alot of mountains and hills. I'm going to check and make sure they still float, any thought on lube for the pins or just light polishing?

Brakes

Looking for a little help on brake choices, I have read the articles on brakes and seems some of the part numbers are outdated. Autozone shows 2 different pads 12,000 GVW and 10,000 GVW. Is there any difference on running them or quality differences? I would think running a 12,000 on a 10,000 may gi...

Re: Toyo Open Country M/T 37X13.50R17

I bought a set of Toyo AT 37x13.5x17 on Cepek rims and loved them. They ride great, work perfect in snow, mud and last for a very long time. I liked them so much that I could wait to wear out my BFG's on my 2012 Tacoma. I changed those out to AT's went with a taller tire to get the E rating.

Sorry, put it all back and didn't get pictures, but what I ended up doing was using butterfly bolts.

Radio and A/C holes?

I'm looking for anyone who might know how to fix the shattered holes where the radio screws in. All but two of the holes have broken out the plastic edges.

Re: Rear Brakes

The brake pads are Duralast MKD 1025 and the rotors are Duralast 5701. Sad thing about these both, are made in China (uhhhgggggg).

Re: Rear Brakes

Sorry Chuck I saw the caliper lube, I was thinking that was the noise stuff for the backing. Also, when I get the new rotors in tomorrow I will see if the part numbers are the same from Autozone, they where only 39.99 each. I ordered the duralast pads too, last time they came in a padded box and eac...

Re: Rear Brakes

Chuck,
Yes, they are the rear pads and would you suggest using and type of lube on the pins?

Rear Brakes

Today I ran the H1 around to get everything moving and heard a strange noise from the rear. When I looked under the truck, the left rear rotor on one side is half way gone. I know I need to change both of them now, but does anyone know why only half would wear down? The right rear looks fine and I h...

Re: Military HUMVEE

I think he is just looking for a beater to play around in,maybe up to $10,000. If he could find one that wasn't a military that would be alright too.

Re: Radio Console

Sorry guys, I was talking about the mount for the AM/FM radio. The same one that has the A/C controler and radio, the plastic is what has broken from the vibration and torque.

Radio Console

I'm looking for ideas and suggestions for repairing the radio hole. The screw holes have cracked and there is only three left, I would like to find some way of improving the set up, short of a new console. I have seen the whole piece made out of wood but could not find it on the forum. Thanks

Do Stock Tires Fit Anything Else?

I am trying to find out if stock rims and tires off of a 1998 wagon fit any other vehicles (16.5x12.5x37) ? I have two sets some with run flats others without. I replaced them with 17" Cepeks, I think there may be an issue with them being true because i was always fighting to keep them aligned. I al...
