Military HUMVEE

Post by SilverRide98 » Mon 08 Jul , 2013 8:03 pm

Talked with one of the guys I get my parts from today and he is lookng for a military Hummer. I wanted to know if anyone has a link or even has one for sell? He wants to run around in the desert and doesn't need anything fancy.

I don't think he's going to save any money. Decent hmmwv's cost as much or more than civilian trucks.

I agree with Chuck.
After looking at a few Humvees, adding any creature comforts its much less to pick up a H1 that needs some work.

Im still waiting for Chuck to get back into a H1.

The H1’s are so over built, if you just run them normal driving they are very dependable and fun to drive.

I think he is just looking for a beater to play around in,maybe up to $10,000. If he could find one that wasn't a military that would be alright too.

Ha, Ha .... I guess its how one uses the rig .....

Chuck you are a “Trail Blazer / Rock Climber / Mud Diver"

I just roll around the paved HWY’s and my tools are still very clean.

I really hope Chuck gets another H1 (a 98 or 2000 would be best I think). I am just getting to point where my tools are clean and unused again, the way I like them. I got two Hummers in the last year and both were a mechanical mess.

rsdeke,
You have 3 Hummers?

"Very Nice"

I wish I had the room, I would pile on a Candy open top myself.

I use to own a red H3 for a while, tossed some 35’s on it. I liked that little SUV.

Hey H1sp,

Yeah, I have three right now. The H2 I bought new in 08 and its been great. By the way, a bunch of guys at work have been through the AMG training course and they say the H3 can do anything the H2 can do. I thought about getting one of those too but I have to stop. Hey, have you checked out Rubberduck's slanback rack for your Hardtop? I think it would look great on there.

The H3 is a good truck, but the H2 his a "Beast"
* I owned a H2 as well.

Rubberduck ..... Yes I have.
My wish list is never ending.....
Slant back rack, Light bar, Rock tubes, 2” lift, 38's or 40’s.
Last year I just piled on Alpha wheels so my Truck budget was used up.

as of now im just trying to find time to drive it.
