Brakes

Post by SilverRide98 » Mon 23 Mar , 2015 4:44 pm

Looking for a little help on brake choices, I have read the articles on brakes and seems some of the part numbers are outdated. Autozone shows 2 different pads 12,000 GVW and 10,000 GVW. Is there any difference on running them or quality differences? I would think running a 12,000 on a 10,000 may give you more wear.

They still make Hawk pads. You'll have to figure out which ones work. The front calipers and all the rotors are the same as jeep.

Sorry, I'm only changing the front the rotors have cracks already, I checked with Autozone I got them 11/13. I've only put 2500 miles on them, but alot of mountains and hills. I'm going to check and make sure they still float, any thought on lube for the pins or just light polishing?

Permatex Ultra disk brake caliper lube. It's a green grease that comes in little plastic packets just like Chinese take out soy sauce.

Thanks for the link, I ordered MKD203"s they are the replacement for my warranty on the other set from Autozone and these are for the front.

And the rotors are also under warranty.
