What's it worth

Post by chuck » Mon 11 May , 2015 8:01 pm

I have a friend that has a 2000 wagon in great shape. A little rust on the roof but otherwise mechanically perfect. It has blacked out cepek wheels and new Toyo open country mt's. It has a lightbar with 4 hella lights and a brushguard.

Anyone know what a fair price for it is?

Obviously its hard to say without more pictures and details (mileage, interior condition, TT4 working, engine upgraded or not).

With that being said, if the truck had less than 100K miles on it I would say 45-50K range.

Your estimate is pretty good. I'm watching an ebay auction for a 2000 wagon that is similar. There's 25 bids and the price is at 45300. The reserve hasn't been met and the auction ends tomorrow morning. Both trucks do not have new engines. My friends truck has a brush guard, a light bar with 4 hella lights, and new cepek wheels with Toyo open country MT's.

Those accessories are nice, however, most of the time they do not add to much value to the vehicle. I would say that buying a truck with the wheels upgraded to the 17' is the most desirable addition.

I agree. I've seen trucks tricked out with music systems etc and it doesn't add to their value.
The auction ended with 31 bids topping out at 46,200. I'd say that's a pretty fair estimation of the trucks worth on the open market.

Yeah that sounds about right. For the most part I see most 99-01 trade for right around the same number. Seems to be a price bump for 2002+. Have you ever seen the paint on the truck? I had the metallic green on my truck before I did a color change and it didnt hold up at all.
