RSDeke's 00 HMCS

Post by rsdeke » Thu 07 Mar , 2013 9:37 pm

I bought a 2000 Wagon Hummer at the end of last year. Absolutely mint and spotless condition appearance-wise inside and out. Not a spec of rust on the top or underneath. The shocks came out just like it was new without the 6 foot breaker bar. Been fixing up little issues and then I blew a head gasket. After really checking into it the motor is trashed in this one too. So I put a P400 in it. Will get some better pics up soon.

Which variant of the p400 did you get? Do they deliver it with the steel pallet? Do you sent the pallet back?

Hi Chuck,

I got the long block motor from Pennisular (actually I bought two over the last year for my 98 and 00, I have had bad luck with motors). I think the long block engine can come one of two ways from AMG 1) for a HWMMV or, 2) for a C/K Truck. The difference is the in the bolt locations for intake manifolds. I just got the standard HWMMV motor. I think Pennisular has different options that they do depending on what you want. The blue motor pallet is how the motor goes from GEP to Pennisular. I received both my motors from Pennisular on wooden pallets. Yes, they did require I ship the pallet back. I attached a picture below.

WOW, looks great.
That seemed like a quick motor swap.

hmm I like you black beast, Its looking very nice.. specially I like the color and exterior of the hummer. I never own a hummer, so how it feels to drive two times wide vehicle in town? Thanks for sharing the photos of your hummer, I think you started some project on it.
