Last month I rolled over 35k
My baby is growing up

Looks like im clicking off about 3300 miles per year.

Living 6 miles from work, driving to work 2 times per week and out on the weekends, to dinner, the park, some car shows ... its about right.

at this rate in 10 years, the truck will be 20 years old and have under 70k miles on it.

I like the picture of your kid polishing the wheels. When I bought my H1 I pulled it up in front of our house and my wife opened the front door along with my three boys. When they saw it they all started jumping up and down, screaming, and yelling "We've got a monster truck!! We've got a monster truck!!" :-)

6 dollar part

Post by h1sp » Sun 07 Feb , 2010 8:36 pm

Parts in a Hummer box …. My favorite package to arrive.

I’m finding bits and pieces to replace to keep the rig as fresh as I can. My to-do list isn’t getting any smaller.

This weather stripping cost 6 bucks. Mine was mashed out flat.

The new will be a EZ install
Also replacing hood bumpers

End of last year was the lights:

Great looking ride(s)!!!! Your H1 has to be one of the cleanest rigs I've seen and with all that red, that Carrera sure stands out.
Your best line in the whole thread was about parallel parking that bad boy. I want to take mine up to Chicago this summer but
I think it would be too much trying to park in the city. Also, clever idea with the wheel polish!!

Thanks RENNtech,
I had to go back and find that pic of the C4S. Its my daily driver. Lots of fun, but it is SMALL.

I think your rig rollin thru Chicago would be News worthy, definitely a show stopper. A Must Do at least one time. Take pic's of people stopping and looking, taking pics with cell phone cameras. its a Treat ... taking pics of people taking pics ?

You have one of very few on the road and some people have NEVER seen one up close.

I take pictures of people taking pictures of my truck all the time. "its good stuff"

I installed my new radiator stack hood seal gasket, hood seals and hood snub bumpers.
It move my hood up ½ inch and man-o-man quieted my hood rattle down to ZERO

24" from center of hub to bottom of fender
Still have 19" from ground to cross member

Man, I need to replace mine too. On the interstate, my hood rattles like crazy, it drives me nuts. Thanks for the idea.
I also used your breather/intake "extension" idea. A rubber coupler from Ace for $8. . . :D

I open for any other improvement ideas that you have. You seem to be the only person that posts under the H1 forum any more.

BTW, Awesome shot of your rig draped with the American Flag!!!!

Love getting this delivery

Got me some Lift Hook seals and new a/c vents (mine had small cracks at the screws) I also bought a couple extra vents for back up.

Old lift hook seals on the left, new ones on the right.

good for another 10 years.

I just Clay bar my H1.

I know, I know … it’s a Hummer.

All though our paint is less than perfect, it doesn’t mean we should give up on it.

Some paint correction helps and really doesn’t take that much time.

I used clay bar for the first time and WOW what a difference.

Tons of clay kits and tons of detail forums will explain how.

Clean, Clay, Polish, Wax “Done”

Check out the results and YEP, thats me 8)
