Gentlemen:
The M998 HMMWV platform is the same width as civilian H1. The HMMWV is however 2.5-3.00 inches shorter because of suspension. The new HMMWVs 93 and up have increase suspension, Engines are now 6.5 with 4L80 Tranny like civilian models. This make the New HMMWV and H1 (pre Alpha) the same Height also. The 3 color NATO paint scheme will distort the profile of the truck.
Hope this helps.

I was JUST KIDDING!! It just looks that way in the photo. An illusion!
Ever notice that darker color trucks look wider than white ones?

you got two?

Post by HMMWV » Tue 18 Dec , 2007 5:38 pm

OK by me. I own a 998 now with 33k. 1985. 00541 s/n
The other is a 03 H2, with 60k+. I love driving them both.
Can you post interior photos? I'd like to see your dash, and do you have the shovel kit in the back? I got to find a fire extinguisher and backet for inside as well.

Nice set.

I have attached some photos. I did install a pioneer tool kit under the rear
The kit and mounting brackets are from Kascar along with the fire extinguisher mounting bracket. The bracket is for the new A2 high back seats and mounts to the base of the drivers seat. The new style seats also have storage for the HMMWV document bag and military general purpose first aid kit. Hope this helps!

They make two types, one for vehicles w/out the winch and one for a winch. They will fit the H1. If you get one post a photo.
