Rod's Truck - Big howdy, big thanks!

Post by Rod » Thu 08 Feb , 2007 5:08 pm

Hi gang,

Chuck, I've been learning from your site for the past few months and thought it about time I said thanks. Thanks!

I also had to follow my bud, Rich, over here since he and I are both now H1 owners.

Hello, Keith!

You old timers may recognize this truck. I bought it from a gent in Salt Lake City back in September. He maintained it well and kept good records. The only lasting problem is a leak(s) in the transfer case.

Thanks again,

Rod

Hi Rod!

Nice truck! Is that how it looks now or have you rigged it for off road?
You have got to come down to play in our litter box sometime!

Hi there, Keith!

Good to see you!

Not much is different with the truck. I took off the bike rack and stickers and that's about it. I really do need to get focused on making the rig trail ready. Heck, I still don't have a spare tire let alone trail parts and a locker!

A group of us are meeting in Sedona, March 9-11. We'll do the usual tourist trails like Broken Arrow. Wanna come? If we don't see each other there then you bet, the family and I will definitely come down to Phoenix for some play time.

Rod

Thanks, Chuck. You're north of Chicago? I have family in Grayslake and grew up about 90 miles WSW of Joliet.

Rod, I grew up near somewhat near there (Prospec Heights, Rolling Meadows, Buffalo grove) and had family in the Fox Lake and Chain of Lakes area. My dad once broke up a prison riot at Joliet with the help of two other state cops and a few shot guns. Times were different then! There was no such thing as negotiations with cons, a couple blasts over their heads and they surrendered.

I'm a friend of Rod's. That is a cover (not a real slantback). It looks cool though. 8)
