New 2008 H2 and H3

Post by chuck » Sun 23 Sep , 2007 4:48 pm

Just read a spread in the Chicago paper about the new trucks.
Both come with a standard 100,000 mile 5 year powertrain warranty.

The new H2 will have a 6.2L V8 generating 393hp and 415 ft lbs of torque coupled to a 6 speed trans.

The new H3 will have a 5.3L V8 generating 300hp and the 4 speed trans.

These will be some fun trucks.

"V8 in a H3" Lots of Motor :o

"Very nice Warrantee"

Defiantly helps the Resale value.

I use to worry about Warrantees, until i figured out:

A. I don't keep a vehicle long enough to worry about it.
B. Even thought any repair are still under warrantee (i dont like the hassle taking it in to the dealership)
C. As long as you keep up with "Preventive maintance" and take care of your Vehicle "Most will last a good long time" .... "Most"

** Maybe Warrantees like this will get Americans to start buying more American made products??

I bought the H2 last Nov and it runs better than my 04 that had all the hop up parts except sc. The gas milage is not all that great but still 3-4 mgp better than 04. I'm getting 12 around town and 15 on the road. I only have 3000 miles so it should get better once its broken in. When the H3t comes out with the 5.3 I will have. an H1, H2, and a H3t

i use to have a 1,2 and 3... but sold the H3 and bought the 911.

When i had ALL 3 Hummers... I was the talk of the town... They were ALL RED Hummers.

Lots of FUN

I'm going to the Chicago Auto Show on Wednesday with the camera. I want to get pictures of the new 'little' hummer H4 that's going after the Wrangler market.

COMPLETELY dissapointed with the STL auto show...and more so with the hummer display....they had nothing that popped, nothing that stood out. Now, the jeep display, that was tight...they had a Black Widow Wrangler unlimited...oh man...black, 37s on it, it was really really sweet...almost made me want to trade in the h3 right then and there...

also, the jeep rescuer was sweet...
